Sights for HK models

This collection contains iron sights for HK pistols. Sights are sorted by model family, because HK uses different dovetails on its lines.

Sight families by HK model

• VP9, SFP9, VP40, P30 and HK45: one family. LPA adjustable sights and Night Fision tritium sights. They do not fit the Optics Ready variants. See Sights for HK VP9, Sights for HK P30 and Sights for HK HK45.
• VP9 OR and SFP9 OR: their own sights. Co-witness sights in blank, fiber optic or tritium, LPA semi-adjustable co-witness sights and LPA adjustable sights. They do not fit the classic variants. See Sights for HK VP9 OR and Sights for HK SFP9 OR.
• USP and USP Tactical: sights for the 9 mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP versions. Low sights, co-witness sights and LPA adjustable sights. They do not fit the USP Expert or USP Compact. See Sights for HK USP.
• P7: LPA adjustable sights, including for the P7 with a 17 mm and wider dovetail. See Sights for HK P7.

Co-witness sights for the OR models

On a VP9 OR or SFP9 OR with a red dot, co-witness sights stay visible through the red dot window. Semi-adjustable co-witness sights add elevation adjustment.

All HK sights at a glance

USP: low, co-witness or adjustable

For the USP you can choose three heights. Low sights sit close to the slide for shooting with iron sights only. Co-witness sights are taller. They suit a USP with a red dot mount, because you see them through the red dot window. LPA adjustable sights let you set windage and elevation with screws. All three fit the 9 mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP versions and the USP Tactical. They do not fit the USP Compact or the USP Expert.

P7 dovetail

The LPA adjustable sights for the P7 also fit the P7 with a 17 mm and wider dovetail. They come in blank, white dots or white lines.

Sight picture

The end of each title names the sight picture. Fiber optic is bright in daylight. Tritium glows in the dark. Luminescent dots charge in light and glow for a while. White dots and white lines give contrast without glowing. Blank sights have a plain grooved surface.

A title with "front sight" or "rear sight" means a single part. Most other sights are complete sets of front and rear sight.

Makers

LPA in Italy makes most HK sights. Angry Bear and Night Fision in the USA make low, co-witness and tritium sights. All are steel.

Installation

Most sights sit in a dovetail. You drift the old sight out and the new one in with a sight pusher or a punch. See Installation tools.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the sights on my HK at home?

Yes, with a sight pusher or a punch. Drift the old sight out of the dovetail and push the new one in. If you do not have the tool, a gunsmith can do it for you. See Installation tools.

Which sights should I choose for my HK?

It depends on how you shoot:

• You use a red dot: co-witness sights. They are tall enough to see through the red dot window.
• You shoot with iron sights only: low sights or standard sights.
• You want to zero for your ammunition or shoot competition: adjustable sights. You set windage and elevation with screws.
• You shoot in poor light: tritium. It glows in the dark without charging.
• You shoot in daylight, at the range or in competition: fiber optic.

Do VP9 sights fit my VP9 OR?

No. The OR models have their own sights.

Do USP sights fit my USP Compact?

No. The USP sights do not fit the USP Compact or USP Expert.
