Which sights to choose
-
You use a red dot: co-witness sights. They are tall enough to see through the red dot window.
-
You shoot with iron sights only: low sights. They sit close to the slide.
-
You want to zero for your ammunition or shoot competition: adjustable sights. You set windage and elevation with screws.
The sights in detail
-
Adjustable sights from LPA, in blank, fiber optic, white dots and white lines. You set windage and elevation with screws, so you can zero them for your ammunition.
-
Co-witness sights from Angry Bear, in blank and fiber optic. They are taller than standard sights, so you see them through the window of a red dot on the slide.
-
Low sights from Angry Bear, in blank and fiber optic. They sit close to the slide and suit shooting with iron sights only.
How to zero adjustable sights
Shoot a group at a fixed distance. Move the rear sight in the direction you want the point of impact to move: to the right to move hits to the right, up to move hits up. Turn the screw a few clicks at a time and shoot again.
Fit
- They do not fit HK USP Expert or HK USP Compact.
- They also fit HK USP Tactical.
Sight picture
Fiber optic collects daylight and shines brightly at the range and in competition. Blank sights have a plain grooved surface without any marks. White dots and white lines give contrast without glowing.
Installation
Most pistol sights sit in a dovetail. You drift the old sight out and the new one in with a sight pusher or a punch. See Installation tools.
For all sights of this brand, see Sights for HK models.
