Sights for Glock models

Glock's sight fitment splits along two lines, not one: the slide's frame size, and whether it carries a factory optics cut. Standard-frame guns - the Glock 17, 19, 26, 34, 45 and the rest of that family - share one dovetail width; Slimline guns like the Glock 43X and 48 use a narrower one. Add a factory-milled optics cut (MOS) to either frame and the sight height requirement changes again, because a red dot now sits above the slide. Four combinations, four different parts - get your frame and cut right and everything else follows.

Standard, Slimline, and MOS

The Glock 17 and Glock 19 - Glock's original full-size and compact duty pistols, and two of the most common handguns on any range - anchor the Standard-frame, non-MOS group, alongside the Glock 26 and the long-slide Glock 34 built specifically for USPSA Production division. Slimline pistols are narrower single-stack carry guns and need their own sight width. MOS versions of either frame add a milled optics cut, and because a red dot sits proud of the slide once mounted, MOS sight sets are often taller - built to co-witness, meaning the front post lines up inside the optic's window as a built-in backup sight picture.
