Scope rings and mounts are essential for securely attaching your rifle scope to your gun. They provide a stable and precise connection, ensuring your scope stays in place even under heavy recoil. A high-quality mount keeps your zero consistent, improves accuracy, and prevents damage to your optics.

Why do you need quality scope rings and mounts?

  • Accuracy: A solid mount ensures your scope holds zero shot after shot.
  • Durability: Cheap mounts can shift or break under recoil, ruining your accuracy and potentially damaging your scope.
  • Peace of Mind: Quality products are made from strong materials that resist wear and hold tight in all conditions.

Choosing a low-quality mount might save money upfront, but it often leads to frustration, missed shots, and extra costs later. Our mounts and rings are tested for strength, precision, and reliability so you can focus on your target, not your gear.

Why does height of the scope rings matter?

The height of your rings or mount affects your shooting comfort and accuracy. Too high, and you may lose a proper cheek weld; too low, and the scope might touch the barrel. The right height gives you a natural shooting position, perfect eye alignment, and a clear field of view.

In short, you should aim to get the lowest scope rings possible for your comfort. How low exactly? It depends on the specifics of the scope - as we explain further.

Make sure to see our tutorial with video on how to choose the right scope rings, it explains you everything including measuring the ideal height of your rings: How to find the right height of scope rings.

What are the differences between specific scope rings?

  • Rings: Two separate pieces that clamp around your scope tube. Ideal for lightweight setups.
  • One-piece mounts: A single unit that provides extra strength and easier alignment.
  • Quick-detach mounts: Allow you to remove and reattach your scope without losing zero.

What if your rifle does not have Picatinny base [Picatinny rail]

There are two ways how to install a scope to your rifle via scope rings [scope mount] in case your rifle does not have Picatinny base from factory:

A/ Buy yourself Picatinny rail + Scope rings with Picatinny base

In our opinion the best way. Unless you know you want to install scope to your rifle and just keep it there for good and never touch it, we would recommend going for Picatinny rail. Why?

First, it gives you "interface" that will allow you to use extremely wide range of scope rings - simple rings, quick detach rings, scope mounts that allow to have a offset red dot, etc.

Second, it allows you to use the same scope rings or scope mount on all your rifles. You simply remove the rings from the Picatinny rail of one rifle, and install it to the other rifle. Solved

B/ Buy yourself Dovetail scope rings

If you know you want to keep the scope installed there for good, you can just go for the dovetail rings. Just keep in mind that you will not be able to use those on another rifle, and if you want to demount it for whatever reason, it will be much more complicated compared to universal quick mounting system of Picatinny.
