Sights for the Smith & Wesson M&P

All sights in this collection are sets of front and rear sight.

Which sights to choose

• You want to zero for your ammunition or shoot competition: adjustable sights. You set windage and elevation with screws.

The sights in detail

• Adjustable sights from LPA, in fiber optic, luminescent dots and white dots. You set windage and elevation with screws, so you can zero them for your ammunition.

How to zero adjustable sights

Shoot a group at a fixed distance. Move the rear sight in the direction you want the point of impact to move: to the right to move hits to the right, up to move hits up. Turn the screw a few clicks at a time and shoot again.

Sight picture

Fiber optic collects daylight and shines brightly at the range and in competition. Luminescent dots charge in light and glow for a while in the dark. White dots give contrast without glowing.

Installation

Most pistol sights sit in a dovetail. You drift the old sight out and the new one in with a sight pusher or a punch. See Installation tools.

For red dot mounts, see Red dot mounts for Smith & Wesson M&P. For all sights of this brand, see Sights for Smith & Wesson models.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the sights on my Smith & Wesson M&P at home?

Yes, with a sight pusher or a punch. Drift the old sight out of the dovetail and push the new one in. If you do not have the tool, a gunsmith can do it for you.
